As things stand, unless Bayern Munich offer Tottenham a big fee for Harry Kane, the England international will be staying at Spurs next season.

Part of that is Daniel Levy’s reluctance to let the player go to another club in the Premier League, which is understandable, but with Paris Saint-Germain and the Bavarians both reportedly interested in the striker, you would think something could get done.

However, according to the latest from journalist Loic Tanzi on L’Equipe’s TV channel for the show L’Equipe de Greg, it’s far more complicated than that when it comes to the Tottenham star.

This all comes about as Paris Saint-Germain have turned their attention to Randal Kolo Muani to bolster their attack, moving away from the Spurs man despite Nasser Al Khelaifi’s desire to sign Kane.

Tanzi explained: “Kane, it’s difficult. Even if he’s in contact with Bayern Munich, he would rather stay in the Premier League than go abroad. It’s complicated. The Kane situation is frankly unworkable. I think now, the only foreign club capable of getting him, for me, is Bayern, and you have to convince Daniel Levy to let him go, even when it comes to a team abroad. He’s very tough in negotiations.”

A lot could also rest on whether Ange Postecoglou convinces Kane that he can fight for trophies at the club next season, as the Tottenham star only has one year left on his contract.

Therefore, if the striker cannot leave for a Premier League club because Levy won’t let him, and he doesn’t believe he can win trophies at Spurs, the only solution would be a sale abroad, but even that doesn’t seem to be an option for the current chairman.

As Tanzi said, a very complicated situation.
