Angel Gomes’ situation at Manchester United continues attracting interest from other clubs. Shining for the youth levels with his contract about to expire, the youngster could turn out to be a great addition for whoever gets him.

As reported for a few months now, one of these interested sides are Juventus. The Old Lady continue to monitor the midfielder, and website Calcio Mercato has an update on the situation today.

What they make clear is the Serie A side don’t want Gomes to be the new Pogba. There are now no hard feelings between Manchester United and Juve for the Frenchman’s move in 2012, and the Old Lady don’t want to spoil their relationship once again.

So for now, Juve are watching Gomes and made themselves aware of his contract situation. However, there have been no contacts or meetings for his signing, and they will only start things in case the player himself says he wishes to leave Manchester United.

The Red Devils, on the other hand, don’t want a new Pogba either. That’s why José Mourinho is set to offer him a new contract, since the current one will be expiring at the end of the season.

This all seems a line of rumour inspired pretty much by the Pogba situation, whether that’s now edged away from or not.
