Earlier on Monday, we covered some of the reports in Italy regarding Manchester United’s efforts to try and sign Rasmus Højlund from Atalanta.
This all comes amid claims in England that the Red Devils could make one last attempt to sign Harry Kane, although whether they are ready to meet Daniel Levy’s demands remains to be seen.
The same applies with Atalanta, who are requesting a very lofty fee for the young Denmark international, which Manchester United have been so far reluctant to meet, although Corriere dello Sport suggest more talks are on the way.
Earlier reports simply suggested a new offer was on the way, which doesn’t require a face to face discussion, since emails exist, but the newspaper see it differently.
They point out ‘another meeting will soon be organised’ between Atalanta and the intermediaries that are negotiating on behalf of Manchester United for the Dane.
The Serie A side ‘do not deny the possibility of a sale’ of their star, but they will make sure that the ‘valuation of €70m is respected’ without the inclusion of any technical counterparts to try and reduce the money aspect of the deal.
Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see the outcome of said meeting to find out a little bit more.
