Valencia sport director Pablo Longoria had coffee on Thursday with Walid Bouzid at Leicester’s Marriott Hotel, report Marca.

Bouzid works for the agency which represents Demarai Gray, which has inevitably led to suggestions the Spanish club could be interested in the 22 year old flyer.

Marca say Gray is one of the ‘pearls’ which Leicester hold in highest regard and the Premier League club have zero intention of selling the youngster.

To push this home further, the Spanish newspaper report the Foxes turned down a €30m offer for the player last year, although they don’t say who this was from.

Despite that, it’s claimed Longoria has been interested in Gray, although there’s no suggestion things have gone further.

The transfer meeting between agent and sport director is seen as ‘more than significant’, and there’s a second player suggestion from Marca.

Step forward Islam Slimani, the Algerian striker linked with countless clubs over the past year. Marca don’t say anything further, just suggest the striker is another possibility.

Whilst the meeting is clearly interesting, the exact reason for it is clearly unknown, so speculation will continue.
