The summer window may have just closed but that doesn’t mean transfer talk has been assigned to the bin.
After a busy market, there are plenty of clubs who feel they didn’t quite complete their business, and plenty of agents already looking towards the January window.
Leeds United were busy in the summer market, spending much of the money from their big outgoings. However, they failed on deadline day to bring in the quality attacker they were looking for and therefore there’s added anticipation ahead of the winter market.
It’s not just in attack that the Whites may be busy, and an agent has spoken about their interest in a young Italian fullback.
Fabiano Parisi is a 21-year-old left-back who plays for Empoli, and this season he’s played every minute of their five Serie A matches, scoring one goal in the process.
During the summer he was linked with a move to Fiorentina, and when Mario Giuffredi, his agent, was asked about that by Tuttomercatoweb, he threw Leeds United into the mix.
TMW quote Giuffredi as saying: “Yes, the last few days of the market have been very hectic. I consider him a great team player, he can be the transfer man for January or for the summer. He is of the highest standard. He can aspire to important goals. We had many clubs, from Atalanta to Turin to Fiorentina, Leeds and Nice, also in agreement with Empoli we decided to wait.”
One to keep an eye on ahead of the January window.
