PSG are looking for a new midfielder, which has already brought some interesting links, but a snippet from Le10 Sport brings some interest for West Brom.
In a Thursday article, the French magazine say: ‘Always looking for a midfielder following the departures of Blaise Matuidi and Grezgorz Krychowiak, Paris Saint-Germain has opened discussions with Marouane Fellaini.’
Ignore the last bit.
Matuidi is a fully fledged Juventus player, having moved there permanently in the summer, but Krychowiak is only on loan at West Brom. It’s not restricted to the Le10 claims, there’s an acceptance in France that Krychowiak is done at PSG and there’s little chance of the Polish international changing that.
This gives West Brom the permanent transfer on a plate, should they want it. Krychowiak hasn’t yet shown his very best form in the Premier League, but with much of the season still left, and a new manager on the way, there’s plenty of time for him to do so.
Should West Brom want the permanent deal, and Krychowiak agree, then it sounds very much like PSG will gift-wrap the player and hand him over for a reasonable fee.
