Borussia Mönchengladbach youngster Hannes Wolf is ‘about to sign’ with Championship side Swansea City as he looks to get regular playing time away from the German club.
That’s according to BILD, who back up reports from the UK that the Welsh club are about to secure the 22-year-old’s signature.
The German newspaper provides details on Wolf’s impending move to Wales, stating that he will arrive on loan until the end of the season.
Swansea will have ‘no option’ to sign the former Leipzig man on a permanent basis at the end of the loan deal.
That’s because Wolf’s plan is ‘clear’; he wants to ‘find his feet’ in Gladbach after getting regular game time with Swansea in the remainder of this season.
Swansea currently sit 17th in the table but have games in hand over those around them, meaning they can move quickly up the table if they pick up wins in those games.
Wolf could help with that, and BILD state that the Swans’ ‘very offensive’ brand of football means he should fit in well and ‘benefit’ from the deal.
Whether that is the case remains to be seen, but as has been reported, the Welsh side are close to sealing Wolf on loan until the end of the season.
