Today’s Marca carried some concerning news for Crystal Palace, with the Spanish newspaper suggesting Vicente Guaita moving to the club isn’t as nailed on as thought.

Roy Hodgson has already made the player’s summer arrival public, after a long January chase saw no agreement reached with Getafe.

Guaita had wanted to move in the winter window but Getafe believed Crystal Palace’s offers weren’t good enough to sell early rather than lose the player for free in June.

Marca say there’s a clause which means Guaita’s move to London is off if Crystal Palace are relegated to the Championship, which remains a very real possibility.

Now Mundo Deportivo have another concerning snippet.

Real Sociedad are keen to sign a goalkeeper in the summer, and are now looking at Spanish options, with Guaita and Pau Lopez named as the possibilities.

Given Palace’s precarious situation, the last thing they need is Guaita getting cold feet and perhaps trying to line up a just-in-case deal with Real Sociedad.
