Earlier today we covered claims from Italy that Tottenham Hotspur have moved into the picture to sign Franck Kessie.
The midfielder’s contract has less than a year left to run, and without a renewal he can leave for free next summer. Fabio Paratici has been presented as the man behind Spurs interest, and he has a record of securing such deals.
Monday saw PSG being linked, and it was explained the French club could even make a move in January. That would see them pay a small fee to AC Milan, and allow them to beat the inevitable competition.
Claims about interest from Tottenham and elsewhere are only going to grow the longer the situation continues, and it’s not going down very well in Milan.
Milan News say Kessie is a ‘traitor’, more so than even Gianluigi Donnarumma, who left for PSG as a free agent earlier this year. Both are said to have turned down big pay rises, but it’s thought that Kessie is worse because he recently gave an interview in which he declared his love for the club.
That he could now go back on that is clearly frustrating some people.
Kessie will ultimately do what he feels is best for his career and personal future, without much care for name-calling from Milan.
