Over the past few weeks, multiple reports coming out of Italy explained Nikola Milenković has decided against signing a new deal at Fiorentina and is expected to leave the Serie A side in the next market.
Manchester United are regularly named as one of the firm contenders for the defender.
On March 15th, Gazzetta dello Sport explained the Red Devils have a ‘clear advantage’ in signing the 23-year-old in the summer.
Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini once again discusses the English club’s interest in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb. Part of the title shouts ‘Milenković towards Manchester United’.
Within the column, he states the ‘pressure’ from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to get the Serbia international is ‘getting stronger’.
The player’s current deal with La Viola runs down in 2022 and the journalist once again reiterates Milenković ‘will not renew’. And, therefore, will leave Cesare Prandelli’s side ‘in June’.
Fiorentina are also ready to open the door for his exit. Their aim is to make ‘as much as possible’ from the Serbian’s sale and invest the money in signing another defender.
Milenković’s ‘destiny is already written’.
