With Antonio Conte and Arsène Wenger seemingly in their last seasons at Chelsea and Arsenal respectively, the stories regarding the likely summer managerial merry-go-round have already started.
The Italian press are the ones who tend to get really sucked in all this, and Corriere dello Sport give us some nice graphics as they analyse each of the top clubs’ situations, with one particular percentage standing out.
With four wins and a draw in their last five Premier League games, Tottenham are trying to make up for a slow start to the season, and it seems Mauricio Pochettino’s team are back on track.
However, Corriere dello Sport reckon there’s a good chance the Argentinian could leave Spurs at the end of the season, giving him just a 50% chance of remaining at Wembley next year.
While they acknowledge he’s under contract with Tottenham until 2021, they also know quite a lot of big clubs, like Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid could find themselves in need of a new manager in the summer, and he’d be high on all their lists.
The Spaniards seem to be the favourites to get him, and, of course, there’s also the dream of them being able to lure both the manager and the star (Harry Kane) to the Santiago Bernabéu all in one go.
It seems unlikely, but never say never in football.
