Tottenham Hotspur interest in Morgan Sanson seems real.
There’s been several reliable reports that Spurs are keen on the Marseille midfielder, and last week his agent openly spoke about the situation.
In an interview with Foot Mercato, Michael Manuello told the website: “Chelsea will not advance more than that. They will go on to other things. Tottenham really follows Morgan. Really. Arsenal follows him too. Now, I do not know what Unai Emery will want.
“Sevilla appreciates him a lot. That is true. But I think they will not have the financial means. Valencia is also interested. But they got Geoffrey Kondogbia, so I do not think they’ll go any further.”
The comments about Sevilla are backed up by La Provence on Saturday, who say the Spanish club would be looking at around €15-20m, and Marseille wouldn’t even begin to consider such figures.
Interest from Tottenham is said to be ‘ticked and underlined’ to further push home it’s actually real, but there’s been no attempt yet.
That could change in ‘the comings week’, and La Provence explain any deal would have to be for a minimum of €30m.
Anything less for the 23 year old, and Marseille don’t think it’s worth even negotiating. In the meantime, Sanson’s agent with speak with the Ligue 1 side to find out their intentions this summer.
