Antonio Conte’s words about Tottenham Hotspur last night have not only made a big noise in the English media, but in the European press in general.
The manager’s dissatisfaction at Spurs is seen as a sign that he could soon be on his way out of London, and that’s a reason for Italian outlets to start talking about the possibility of his return to the country.
This was a subject in TMW Radio today. On the Maracana show, pundit and former midfielder Antonio Sabato was quizzed about Conte’s potential exit from Tottenham.
“He has had these outings everywhere, even at Inter. If I make a great team, I give it to Allegri. We need a more relaxed one, Antonio is a volcano,” said Sabato.
Antonio Conte joined Tottenham in early November, and so far, he’s had 11 wins, three draws and seven defeats in 21 games in charge of the club.
The manager’s departure from Spurs wouldn’t be a surprise for the Italian media.
They’ve recently seen him leaving winning sides such as Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan, so there’d be no shock in him walking away from a club where he can’t find the wanted results.
