It’s time for the Daily Juan Foyth, and unfortunately there aren’t the ‘Foyth leaves Argentine airport’ images we’d hope to bring from the South American media, but there’s plenty of good news nonetheless.

Argentine newspaper El Dia, easily the best source on Foyth to Tottenham from day one and throughout, say Foyth is travelling to London today for his dream transfer to the Premier League.

PSG had been interested, but Mauricio Pochettino proved the difference. El Dia say, according to Foyth himself, it was 6 or 7 telephone calls from Pochettino which swung things in Spurs’ favour.

Pochettino told the young defender he really wanted him, had been following his career for a while, and, whilst he couldn’t guarantee a starting point at Tottenham, Foyth was assured he’ll be taken into account.

The 19 year old will fly to London with his father Ariel Foyth and agent Daniel Bolotnicof, earlier claims of him bringing his whole family seemed to have calmed a little. Expected to arrive after the Burnley match on Sunday, Foyth will sign a five year Tottenham contract on Monday.

Pochettino’s telephone calls have once again done their trick.
