With Christian Eriksen’s contract at Tottenham Hotspur set to expire in 2020, he’s been linked with a move away from Spurs in January.
Real Madrid are one of the clubs rumoured to be interested in the Denmark international, but AS reported on Monday the La Liga side will not bring in a new player in the winter market.
Today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo claims Los Blancos could bring in a new midfielder, if Isco leaves the Santiago Bernabéu in January. He is unhappy with his current situation and would be open to the idea of joining another club when the transfer window reopens.
Eriksen is identified as a possible replacement for the Spain international, while the report explains Isco could become a transfer idea for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The 13-time European champions value Isco around €70m.
It’s claimed the north London club would not see a swap deal ‘with bad eyes’.
How that would work with cash going either way isn’t explained.
