Tottenham are ‘at the window’ for Lazio forward Joaquin Correa but face competition from Arsenal for his signature.

That’s according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, who say the Argentine is one of several players Lazio are looking to sell this summer to raise funds for new manager Maurizio Sarri.

The newspaper explains that the Serie A side want to make around €70m through sales so they can then enter the transfer window and improve their squad.

The player who can bring the most money to their coffers is Correa, who is currently featuring at the Copa America, which demonstrates he has ‘reached a very high level’.

Lazio are aiming to get around €40m for him, and both Tottenham and Arsenal are ‘at the window’ looking to make a move.

The pair’s interest is nothing new, with Arsenal having been named as suitors on a regular basis over the last few weeks.

Arsenal were first linked at the beginning of the month, and it was claimed two days ago that they have a plan (including Torreira in the deal) to knock €20m off his price tag.

Tottenham’s interest, meanwhile, appears to come through Fabio Paratici, with it claimed earlier this month that he likes Correa a lot and wants to take him to London with him.

That was repeated two days ago, and it seems the new Director of Football is working to ensure Tottenham win this particular race ahead of Arsenal.
