Tottenham Hotspur continue to be named as a potential contender for AS Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo.
The winger’s contract runs until 2024 and his agent, Claudio Vigorelli, met the Serie A side’s general manager, Tiago Pinto, on Thursday.
That’s according to Sky Italia, who state the meeting between the two parties lasted for an hour and a half, and they discussed the 22-year-old’s renewal.
The Giallorossi and Zaniolo’s camp will sit down for another round of talks again in a few months’ time, unless ‘advantageous offers’, for Roma, the player, or both, arrive in the coming weeks.
Antonio Conte’s side get a mention as the report states they are ‘at the window’ for the Italy international. It’s claimed Fabio Paratici met with Pinto in Milan yesterday, where the Tottenham chief asked for information about the attacker.
Sky state the north London club did not table an offer nor there was any real negotiation carried out with Pinto. Spurs are now ‘following the evolution’ of Zaniolo’s situation at Roma with interest.
During the talks between Paratici and Pinto, Joe Rodon’s name was also put on the table. Mourinho knows the player from his time at Tottenham and could be of interest to Roma this summer.
