Tottenham’s interest in Lazio winger Gustav Isaksen emerged for the first time about a week ago.

It began as a mere suggestion as the Lilywhites’ move was linked with the Roman club’s interest in Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa. Now, it is slowly becoming more than just a suggestion and something is building in Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport have reported on the Denmark international today and they state the Premier League could be a ‘landing place’ for Isaksen.

Tottenham are interested and it’s claimed they’ve made advances to potentially land the 23-year-old. In fact, the outlet are confident that Ange Postecoglou’s side are willing to offer €40m to Lazio for the wide player.

Indeed, it’s said Tottenham are ‘willing to put €40m on the table’.

As of now, the Italian side are looking to build a ‘wall’ around Isaksen and their other prized assets like Nicolo Rovella and Mario Gila. However, if Tottenham do meet a high price tag, they could be forced to sell the Scandinavian in the summer.

The Dane had impressed for the national team against Portugal in the UEFA Nations League and the past few weeks has seen him do well in Serie A and the UEFA Europa League under Marco Baroni.
