Tottenham Hotspur were repeatedly linked with a move for AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori in the winter transfer window.
The centre-back stayed at Milan as Spurs ended up signing Kevin Danso, who has become an important part of Ange Postecoglou’s backline already.
Despite rejections from Tomori, Tottenham have not given up on scouring the Serie A for players. Another defender who interests them is AS Roma’s Gianluca Mancini.
RomaForever have reported that Spurs ‘really like’ the Italian and are considering a move. They would be willing to pay a fee of €18m for the centre-back and that amount could be enough to convince Roma to sell the player.
Tottenham have already expressed their interest in the 28-year-old and the feeling is that a move in June is a possibility. It remains to be seen if talks will have a positive outcome or not but the outlet are confident about the London club’s interest in the Italy international.
Mancini has has a rocky ride at Roma and has come in for criticism at times. This season, he’s played 25 times in Serie A and six times in the Europa League as well.
