ABC Sevilla today report that since it become known Real Betis will be active in the winter market, and are looking for a striker, there’s been a ‘shower of offers’ made to the club.
It’s not made clear whether the offers are coming from clubs or agents, but it’s more likely to be the latter.
Two of the players to have been proposed to Betis are Fernando Llorente and Lucas Perez, according to ABC.
It’s explained neither are having the minutes they’d like at their current clubs, and would therefore be looking for a way out.
The newspaper report comes a day after Perez scored twice for West Ham, helping them to a 3-1 victory over Cardiff City. He didn’t start the match and it’s his sixth substitute appearance in the Premier League this season, and his first goals in the competition.
The Spaniard hasn’t been on the pitch since early November, when he came on against PSV in the Champions League and contributed an assist.
ABC doesn’t think Betis are overly keen on either player, with wages likely being an issue, but they insist the offers were made.
Regarding Perez, he wouldn’t be able to actually play for Betis until next season, having already represented two clubs this campaign.
