Juventus’ Mario Mandžukić continues to be linked with Manchester United after they, at least reportedly, failed to sign him in the summer.

Corriere dello Sport reported on Wednesday that Juve director of football Fabio Paratici had travelled to London to discuss the player’s potential transfer with the Red Devils.

The same information has also been relayed by Calciomercato, but they claim Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are seen as transfer options for the 33-year-old.

It’s claimed the Old Lady don’t want to lower their asking price below €10m, after having quoted €15m for him in the summer. However, United want to offer around €2-3m for a player who has not featured this season.

Paratici made the trip to England not only to hold talks with United, but to probe the possibility of selling Mandžukić’s to another Premier League club. That’s when Spurs and the Hammers get a mention.

Tottenham only have Harry Kane as a recognised senior striker in the squad. West Ham signed Albian Ajeti and he has failed to impress so far as Sébastien Haller’s backup.

Therefore, the insinuation is it would make sense for either of these two London clubs to bring in an experienced player like Mandžukić during the January window.

Both Spurs and West Ham are described as ‘admirers’ of the Croatian.
