With Antonio Conte making it clear his side still aren’t at the level of those ahead of Tottenham in the table, reinforcements could be expected before the end of January.

The Italian manager and his team have been linked to a variety of players over the past couple of months, but none have so far made the trip to London and been presented with the Spurs scarf/shirt.

Perhaps that could change in the coming week, and while Tanguy Ndombélé could be a departure, Ignazio Genuardi, a French journalist, claims Tottenham are targeting Mohamed-Ali Cho.

The Angers SCO starlet knows England well, having stayed with Everton’s youth team in the past, and his performances in Ligue 1 at the tender age of 18 have caught the eye of many scouts, including Spurs’.

In fact, Genuardi claims Tottenham have ‘well and truly started negotiations regarding an eventual transfer’ of the youngster.

As for the amount Daniel Levy is prepared to spend, it’s said it ‘around €20m (without bonuses)’.

That’s quite the amount, but, then again, Spurs have already started gambling on the future with Ligue 1 players, purchasing Pape Sarr in the summer before loaning him back to FC Metz, so this might be the next step in their plans.

We’ll have to wait and see.
