Tottenham Hotspur will continue to keep an eye on Benfica winger Jota during the international break, according to the Portuguese media today.
Newspaper Record claims Spurs will be watching the player’s performance against England’s U20 team, even though they will not have a scout actually at the ground.
The news comes along with the interest from Bayern Munich, who will also scout Jota in the game against Germany. But as the match is being hosted in Sandhausen, the Germans will have an official there.
Record recalls that Tottenham already had a scout at Benfica’s game against Dinamo Zagreb for the Europa League last week, and now continue their pursuit of the player.
As Jota has only four appearances for Benfica’s first team, Tottenham will keep having to scout these U20 matches if they want to see him more.
Maybe a game against England will be a good chance to do so.
