Tottenham ‘want’ Sergio Reguilon, according to Sunday’s edition of AS.
The Real Madrid owned left-back spent last season on loan at Sevilla, and managed to impress enough to receive interest from elsewhere.
Manchester United have been linked repeatedly, and AS say Tottenham also ‘want’ the player. There’s no further information on Spurs, or any approach they may have made.
For a while it was stated in Spain that Madrid would be looking at another loan move or a transfer with a buyback clause. Zinedine Zidane doesn’t see the player in his plans for the coming season, but things could change beyond then.
Clubs such as United, have wanted a simple permanent transfer, without the possibility of Madrid then snatching the fullback away in the medium term.
Depending how their window continues, Tottenham may be more open to a loan, probably wanting the clause to balance power on their side of a deal, and any future buyback to represent a hefty profit.
For now, Reguilon waits to find out what the next step of his career will be.
