It appears that Tottenham are continuing their interest in Morten Hjulmand, despite the fact the Danish midfielder is a reported fan of their north London rivals.
That hasn’t stopped other players from shining with Spurs, mind, but TuttoMercatoWeb over the weekend, in an editorial written by Niccolo Ceccarini, bring the latest on their interest in the Lecce star.
This isn’t the first time Tottenham have been touted as a potential next destination for Hjulmand, and the journalist claims the player has been the subject of some scouting trips from Tottenham.
He states that ‘over the past few months’, talent spotters under Fabio Paratici’s orders ‘have watched him’ with a transfer in mind.
It’s made clear that both Dortmund and Tottenham ‘could make an interesting offer’ to Lecce, with the player’s valuation said to be around €15m.
While that might not sound like much, it’s quite a lot for a club of the Serie A one’s stature, especially when you take into account they only paid €170k to Admira Wacker to sign him in the first place.
That would seem them nearly make 10 times that amount in the space of two years, and could fund their own transfer window as they look to make similar deals down the lines.
