There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Tottenham Hotspur will be attending today’s Istanbul derby between Galatasaray and Besiktas to watch reported target Domagoj Vida.
Last month the Croatia international was linked with a summer move to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and it seems Spurs are stepping up their pursuit of the central defender ahead of the next transfer window.
Fotomac report Tottenham will be present in Turkey this evening as they look to get a lowdown on Vida. There have been reports coming out of his home country that Besiktas are looking to sell the player this summer and they will let him go for offers in the region of €20m.
Tottenham should expect to face competition from the likes of Sevilla, Espanyol (where Mauricio Pochettino previously managed) and AS Roma, with claims they too will today send officials to watch the Croatian.
Due to their financial situation Besiktas may be forced to offload Vida this summer and Tottenham could take advantage.
