According to a claim in the Turkish media, Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-min Son will not be signing for Fenerbahce in this transfer window.

The South Korea intentional was linked with a move to the Super Lig giants during the last transfer window and these rumours have reemerged in recent days, generating inevitable excitement among fans.

Turkish journalist Samet Çayır has informed Fanatik of the latest developments regrading Fenerbahce’s interest in the Tottenham player, after reports they could be lining him up the South Korean to replace the recently departed Allan Saint-Maximin.

The Frenchman has been on loan with the Istanbul club this season, but has been sent back to Saudi Arabia following some unconvincing performances.

However, it’s explained Fenerbahce have been told by a Tottenham official they have no chance of signing Son in this transfer window and it seems very unlikely he will be again linking up with his former Spurs’ boss Jose Mourinho.

Due to injuries to Tottenham’s forward line this season it always seemed they would keep hold of Son beyond this transfer window. Also, the Premier League side recently activated the clause to keep the player with them for at least another season.

Fenerbahce have long held a dream to sign Son, and it’s one they’ll have to put back in the cupboard for now.
