Tottenham Hotspur are in the race for the signing of Brazilian star Richarlison, according to reports from South America today.
Outlet UOL writes that Spurs are one of the clubs who made approaches to buy the 24-year-old this summer.
With the forward said to be preparing for a move this summer, his wish is to stay in the Premier League, where a few clubs, including Spurs, have been in touch for his signing.
UOL says Everton ‘dream big’ and currently demand €80m to negotiate the player.
Still, his price would go down in case they get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, which is something Tottenham will now be keeping an eye on closely.
Richarlison has seven goals and four assists in 25 appearances for the Merseyside club this season.
He scored twice in the game against Burnley this week, but that still wasn’t enough for the Toffees to avoid a 3-2 defeat and get in an even more complicated position in the table.
With Tottenham now watching the situation, we’ll have to wait and see if Daniel Levy is ready to spend big to land the Brazilian this summer.
This is also the first time Spurs have been linked with the player by anyone outside of England, and wit hit coming from his home country, it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on.
