As you know, both Atlético Madrid and Tottenham were after strikers this summer.

The former ended up getting Antoine Griezmann back, while Spurs managed to hold onto Harry Kane, but never managed to bring in an adequate back up.

Many names were linked, with Dusan Vlahovic appearing far more often than not, but less prestigious players were also looked at, such as FC Lorient’s Terem Moffi, according to Ouest-France.

The newspaper reveal the information during an interview with the French side’s president, who explained the club went into the summer wanting to keep four players ‘at all costs’.

Those were the aforementioned Terem Moffi, Laurent Abergel, Armand Laurienté and Enzo Le Fée, which is when the newspaper explain who was after them.

When talking about the Nigeria international, they explain that both Tottenham and Atlético Madrid were after him this summer, although to what extent isn’t revealed.

Still, something to keep in mind, as Spurs could still need a name behind Harry Kane in the future, and someone like Moffi could be both cheap(ish) and effective.
