Tottenham’s search for a right-back continues, and there’s a feeling the man in Fabio Paratici’s back pocket is Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The situation is rather simple, as Bologna have set a price they want for their player, have refused to budge, meaning the Spurs director of football simply needs to open the club funds a bit wider to get their man.
Down the player’s end, Tomiyasu has returned to the Serie A club and is expected to start training again, but that doesn’t mean he’s entirely happy with the situation.
Corriere dello Sport state the player is ‘putting his foot down, wanting to go and play in the Premier League’, a dream he is ‘determined to feed until he has hope of being able to grab it’.
A large reason fro that his that his entourage ‘are convinced that before the end of the market, either Tottenham, Leicester or West Ham will give him this opportunity’.
Should Bologna continue to be stubborn and not lower their demands, then Tomiyasu ‘will not move from Casteldebole’, continuing in their stance that they will not sell him in the last days of the market.
We’re pretty much there, so if Paratici does want his man, he’ll need to get his behind in gear sooner rather than later.
