Tottenham’s negotiations with Fiorentina for midfielder Sofyan Amrabat are at an ‘advanced stage’ as the player has ‘said yes’ to a move to London.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who say Antonio Conte may be about to secure his first signing of the January transfer window.
Conte has been asking Tottenham to bolster their squad this month for weeks but has yet to see any new arrivals at the club.
It was felt that could change the closer we got to the end of the window as Spurs look to provide the Italian with the signings he thinks he needs to make them competitive once more.
Several names have been linked, but Amrabat has emerged as a new target over the last few days, with a report earlier today indicating a move could be close.
TMW now pick up on that and state that Amrabat is indeed another potential ‘outgoing operation’ for Fiorentina, whose negotiations with Tottenham are at an ‘advanced stage’.
The midfielder has reportedly ‘said yes’ to a transfer to London, and so negotiations have been sped up.
They say an ‘agreement is close’ on a loan deal with a right to buy tagged onto it, although there is no mention of the value of that purchase clause, which the previous article on Tuesday said should be around €15m.
