While we’ve seen many articles in the English media about Tottenham’s interest in the likes of Max Aarons and Jack Grealish, their desire to sign Leicester City’s Wilfried Ndidi is relatively new.
At least, that’s what Soccer Link in France suggest on Monday in an article looking at what kind of business Spurs could end up doing this summer.
Their main objective appears to bring in players who have played or who could play in the England national team, with the aforementioned names among those, and the arrival of Joe Hart on a free emphasising that.
However, they also want a strong defensive midfielder, because we all know José Mourinho loves having one of those, which is where Ndidi comes in.
The French website state Tottenham have ‘taken information’ about the Leicester City player, although they are aware this would be a ‘particularly expensive’ affair should it go through, such is the desire of the Foxes to keep hold of their anchor man.
We’ll have to wait and see if this becomes something bigger, but it certainly isn’t surprising.
