Tottenham Hotspur showed interest in Club Brugge’s Antonio Nusa in the winter market before Brentford overtook them in the transfer race, but the Bees weren’t able to get the deal over the line in the end due to concern over his knee.
Last month, Walfoot reported the north London club are still interested in the winger, which is now echoed by Voetbalkrant, who provide more details on Spurs’ desire to sign him.
It’s claimed Tottenham have ‘started negotiations’ with the Belgian club, after failing to make progress in January.
Club Brugge had requested €37m and continue to name the same price for the 18-year-old. Tottenham aren’t liking the fee demanded by the Jupiler Pro League side and want to find a solution that pleases both parties.
Apart from the Norway international, Ange Postecoglou’s side have his club teammate, Andreas Skov Olsen, on their radar.
The 24-year-old Dane joined Club Brugge from Bologna in 2022 and Tottenham have been following him from his time at Serie A, without making an offer.
Voetbalkrant state Spurs want to shop at Club Brugge and are thinking of carrying out a double deal for Nusa and Olsen.
Transfermarkt value the duo together at €35m and Tottenham will be left disappointed if they were to make an offer in that region.
The report says a fee of around €50m is very realistic for the two players and Club Brugge will be inclined to accept this figure.
It needs to be seen whether Tottenham are ready to spend that figure on both Nusa and Olsen in the summer, but if they are, they would find the Belgian club receptive.
