Christian Eriksen opened a can of worms with his Barcelona comments, published in Denmark on Monday. Explaining he’d like to play at the highest level one day, whether Tottenham get there or not, and saying it’s hard to say no to Barcelona, Eriksen gave the Danish sport media enough material to drag the rumours out all summer.
Right now, Eriksen almost certainly isn’t top of Barcelona’s wanted list, for several reasons, but Danish newspaper BT still give him a reasonable chance of leaving. Rating 
potential exits for several Denmark internationals, the Tottenham man gets 2 out of 6.
It’s unlikely, feel BT, ‘unless a club like Barcelona go deep into their pockets’.
Eriksen has, unwittingly, helped open this particular can of worms, and it’s going to be hard to get the lid back on any time soon.
