Harry Kane scored twice against Everton at the weekend to take himself to the top of the Premier League scoring charts. Tottenham beat Everton 3-2 and once again Kane was a huge part of the victory.
The England international now has 19 Premier League goals so far this season and cemented his status as one of the best players in the country.
Kane’s talents are noticed across Europe too, but claims of transfer interest are almost alway overstated by the English media.
There’s appreciation in Spain, but no clamour for Real Madrid to buy him and no suggestion that he’s going to be a serious summer target. Florentino Perez probably couldn’t stand the Daniel Levy battle.
Over in Italy, Kane is almost certainly out of the range for a transfer, but the appreciation is still shown and Gazzetta dello Sport have once again named the Tottenham star in their European Team of the Week.
Kane finds himself as part of a front three, flanked by Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.
