Tottenham Hotspur breezed past Swansea City 3-0 at the weekend to send themselves through to the FA Cup semi-finals.
At that point Spurs weren’t aware of who they’d be facing at Wembley, but with Petr Cech and Gianfranco Zola picking the balls out they managed to keep Chelsea away from the hardest draws, so Tottenham will be facing Manchester United.
Two players had an especially big role in Tottenham’s victory over Swansea.
Erik Lamela assisted the first goal and scored the second, and Christian Eriksen found the back of the net twice against the Welsh club.
It’s the latter who Gazzetta dello Sport have singled out on Monday, with the Italian newspaper putting Eriksen in their European Team of the Week.
Eriksen is one of three players in the selection from the Premier League, with the Danish international being joined by Nemanja Matic and Mo Salah.
The Tottenham player got an 8/10 rating, which is pretty high by Gazzetta’s standards.
