Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet have an article in their Monday sport section on Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen and luck against Arsenal.
Danish reports on Eriksen over the years have mainly been praising his club performances and wondering why he can’t do that for Denmark, but recently his club form is being heavily covered for slightly negative reasons.
They clearly believe that the player has been unlucky recently, especially with a shot against Arsenal on Sunday.
The Tottenham player himself is commented as saying after the game: “I hit the post and the ball bounced straight out to the only Arsenal player in the area. There’s been voodoo in my finishes this season.”
Maybe there’s an Arsenal fan somewhere with a Christian Eriksen doll, sending negative wishes the way of the Tottenham player, it would make for an entertaining segment on Arsenal Fan TV.
Eriksen will hope the voodoo curse leaves him alone for the international break, Denmark need all the help they can get.
