With the signing of Ivan Perisic to Tottenham just around the corner, Spurs have kicked off their summer transfer market.
What comes next, however, remains to be seen, but the general consensus is that there will be a new centre-back or two delivered to Antonio Conte’s squad to ensure the team has more depth for an important Champions League campaign.
One of the names that continues to be linked with Tottenham is that of Alessandro Bastoni, whom the Italian manager knows well from his time at Inter.
Corriere della Sera suggest there’s a good chance the Italian could follow the Croatian to Spurs, explaining in their Tuesday edition that Spurs ‘could soon take away Bastoni too’.
In doing so, the sale ‘would bring about €60m into Inter’s coffers’, which would then allow the Serie A side to fully go after Gleison Bremer, who is valued by Torino at around €40-45m.
There is also a tidbit from FC Inter News on the matter, who say that Fabio Paratici has sent ‘unmistakable signals’ for Bastoni, before adding ‘there is certainly Tottenham’s approach’ to deal with.
This is certainly something to keep an eye on.
