Where is Georges-Kevin Nkoudou?
The young Marseille winger was supposedly meant to pass a medical for a move to Tottenham about two weeks ago, and since then, nothing.
Considering the Ligue 1 club was supposed to get Clinton N’Jié in return on loan, we thought that might be the hold up, but that still seems to be happening, at least according to La Provence.
This postponement, however, caused some outlets to suggest the Premier League club had turned to Lille’s Sofiane Boufal as an alternative, and made the first move to try and get a deal done.
However, Sport Witness understands no contact has yet to take place between player and Premier League club, contrary to what has been previously reported.
As for Nkoudou, this long delay for a transfer that was meant to happen two weeks ago points towards something not being right, and the chances of him signing are dwindling by the day, with suggestions it might not happen altogether.
It’s a matter of wait and see for Nkoudou, while Boufal, well, there’s till plenty of time for Tottenham to make a move.
We suspect that if the former’s transfer falls through, Spurs could very much turn to the latter towards the end of the window.
