With Lucas Bergvall ready to join Tottenham Hotspur next summer, his final months in Sweden are getting big coverage from the local media.

Today, outlet Fotboll Skanalen features a story about the match between Djurgarden and Mjallby in Spain during their pre-season training camp.

As the report gives Bergvall some special attention, they highlight that he ‘received ugly blows’ during the match.

It’s claimed that he got ‘badly fouled’ by Adam Petersson, and seemed to hold bad feelings for the Mjallby player, as he ‘refused to shake hands’ when he tried to apologise.

The future Tottenham player even stayed on the pitch for a while during the half-time break just to tell the referees that Petersson should’ve been booked.

Djurgarden will go into the season knowing they are losing one of their important players in the summer, and Bergvall will certainly be under pressure to perform until then.

As usual, Fotboll Skanalen highlights that he was ‘chased by Barcelona’, but is now ‘ready for Tottenham’, and that’s the kind of media attention the youngster is getting until he finally moves to Spurs in the summer.
