Tottenham’s Federico Fazio was left out of the club’s pre-season tour to Australia because they are looking to offload him this summer.
The Argentine spent the last season on loan at La Liga club Sevilla, but managed just over 500 minutes of football throughout the whole season.
His market value has subsequently gone down further after his loan spell at Sevilla, but recent reports have suggested Espanyol are interested in signing him.
According to a latest report on Italian website Forza Roma, AS Roma are also interested in signing Fazio, after failing to agree a deal for Nacho Fernandez.
Forza Roma say Fazio has been closely followed by Walter Sabatini in the past, and he is the latest name on their shortlist.
The 29-year-old arrived at Tottenham in 2014 in a €10m deal from Sevilla, but has failed to make any impact at the club.
Forza Roma, however, are not the most reliable Italian media outlet, and we should wait for more reports.
