Having already managed beat Manchester United on the football pitch, FC Copenhagen can now boast they have managed to get one over against Tottenham, this time off it.

That’s because the Danish side have announced that they have managed to hire one of Spurs’ staff members, who will take up his new position in the new year.

The man in question is Tottenham’s Oliver Deeming, who will start his role as the new Head Groundsman in the new year, and will be responsible of the day to day work on the pitches both at the training ground and the stadium.

Deeming is currently listed as the Junior Academy Senior Groundman at the London club, having taken up that role in August of this year, but it hasn’t taken him long to go up another level.

Bold.dk in Denmark also remind everyone that Kasper Hjulmand, the Denmark national team manager, recently criticised the pitch at FC Copenhagen’s stadium, Parken, deeming it unfit by European standards.

He outright claimed the matter was ‘annoying’, and it appears the current Tottenham employee has been hired to sort that out as quickly as possible, with a big task ahead of him at his new club.
