Fenerbahce are eyeing a move for Tottenham outcast Ryan Sessegnon in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Takvim, who say the Super Lig side have the Spurs man on a list of possible reinforcements for the winter window.
They explain that the Turkish club are already drawing up a shortlist of targets ahead of January as they look to bolster their squad.
Two names have recently been added to that list of names, Everton’s Jean Philippe Gbamin and Tottenham’s Sessegnon.
The Canaries are ‘determined’ to sign the pair if they can and have had their scouts making reports when possible.
Manager Vitor Pereira is a big fan of both players, according to their information, and wanted to sign Sessegnon in the summer transfer window.
That obviously never happened, but he wants to revive that interest for January and sign the youngster, who finds himself on the fringes in London once again.
Now there’s no mention of whether it would be a permanent move or a loan, although we would suggest it’s the latter, given Turkish sides have often shown a lack of enthusiasm for spending their own money when it comes to deals, particularly in January.
A loan would also make sense in regards to Sessegnon, who can get the game time he needs and clearly isn’t on offer at Tottenham.
Whether Nuno and co will sanction it is another matter, but it seems the interest is there from Fenerbahce nonetheless.
