Over the past 10 days or so, we’ve seen a reported interest from Tottenham in Seko Fofana emerging from France.
It was said back on April 12th that Spurs had a scout watching the midfielder in his club’s 3-0 win over OGC Nice, and it hasn’t stopped there.
According to But! Football Club, Tottenham also had a man in the stands to watch Fofana against Lille, in a game that ended 2-1 in favour of Lens, who managed to triumph over their fierce rivals.
This suggests that Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici might have a genuine interest in the player, who is expected to head to greener pastures in the summer.
Arriving from Udinese in a £7.6m deal back in 2020, the 26-year-old has impressed a lot in Ligue 1, especially this season, as he counts nine goals and an assists in 36 appearances.
It’s not said whether Tottenham had a scout in the most recent 2-0 win over Montpellier, but if they were there for the two previous games, perhaps they decided to keep their man on Fofana’s trail a while longer ahead of a potential summer move?
