While in Brazil every tidbit of information points to Lucas Moura moving to Manchester United, things in France are a little bit different, with Tottenham being thrown into the mix now.

This is according to Le10 Sport, who report the news on Thursday, that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have ‘asked for information’ about the Paris Saint-Germain forward, with the Ligue 1 side desperate to sell him in order to make money ahead of potential FFP sanctions.

Spurs’ board are said to have requested details about the player’s situation at the club, as well as what the French club would be asking for.

Unfortunately for Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham wouldn’t be interested in buying Lucas Moura, but would rather bring him to Wembley on loan for the second half of the season, which, while helping them out with the wage bill, doesn’t exactly give them hard cash in the bank.

With the Ligue 1 leaders currently adamant they want to sell the Brazilian, there’s little chance of anything happening here.

Were they to, maybe later on in the window, soften their stance, however, then Tottenham could return with an offer.

This is going to drag on, and on, and on.
