All of a sudden, Tottenham Hotspur winger Steve Bergwijn became a constant topic in the Italian media, as AC Milan seem to be very interested in signing him in the next summer.
Earlier today, we’ve already seen newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport talking about this chase, claiming that Spurs boss Antonio Conte doesn’t consider the player to be ‘non-transferable’.
Now an update from website Calciomercato comes up to talk about the figures involved in this potential deal.
It’s claimed that Tottenham demanded €25m to let Bergwijn go in January, but the price is dropping, and in the summer, they’re ‘ready to settle’ for between €18m and €20m.
Calciomercato claims there are no official bids made yet, as that should still depend on Milan’s plans for the summer.
The website, however, is sure that Bergwijn is ‘completely lost’ at Tottenham, as he isn’t getting enough playing time, especially after Dejan Kulusevski’s arrival in January.
That’s another reason why Conte won’t stand in the Dutchman’s way were he to express a desire to leave in the summer.
