Fabio Paratici’s arrival in north London in June saw Tottenham Hotspur sign Pierluigi Gollini and Cristian Romero from Serie A in the summer.

Apart from the former Atalanta duo, Spurs also reportedly looked at Cagliari’s Nahitan Nández.

The midfielder was left frustrated with his side’s decision not to let him leave in the last window.

Last Friday, reports in Italy stated Spurs could be handed a second chance to sign the 25-year-old after his agent insisted Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini has promised to negotiate a transfer in January.

CalcioNapoli24 has a report on the Uruguay international, stating Napoli and Inter Milan have long been looking at him. Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are also in the mix.

Having signed Gollini and Romero in the previous window, Paratici is willing to look again towards the Serie A for the Cagliari player.

The report says Tottenham are ‘ready to close’ the deal for Nández in the winter market.  Spurs can ‘complete’ the South American’s signing when the transfer window reopens and end up ‘mocking’ Napoli and Inter in the process.
