On Thursday morning, Goal Brasil featured a piece claiming that even though Everton and Tottenham Hotspur were close on a deal for the transfer of Richarlison, the player was still ‘waiting for new bids’ in the market.
It was said the Brazilian wanted more time to decide his future, as he believed that other clubs could still make their attempts to buy him this summer.
It turns out Goal Brasil now comes up with a new piece claiming that due to Tottenham’s strong effort and them ‘being in a hurry’, they ‘pressured’ Richarlison, who ended up saying ‘yes’ quickly.
According to Goal, the Everton man wanted an extra week to think about his future.
It’s said he had the interest from clubs such as Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid and especially Chelsea, who tried to hijack Tottenham’s deal ‘in the past few hours’.
An interesting claim in this report is Goal saying Spurs sent the doctor, while Brazilian outlet UOL said the player had already had his medicals.
Either way, the player’s transfer from Everton to Tottenham looks very close to being made official.
