After signing Clément Lenglet on loan from Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur are looking once again at the Catalan club, this time for Memphis Depay.

The La Liga side want to sign Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski and Leeds United’s Raphinha.

In addition to this, work is being done to retain Ousmane Dembélé by offering him a new deal.

If these deals were to take shape, then the 28-year-old will have no space at the Camp Nou, according to a ‘Confidencial’ report from Sport.

Therefore, the forward, who has been aware of this for a few days, has a ‘foot and a half outside’ the club.

Barca have received calls from other clubs for the Netherlands international, including one from Tottenham.

It’s claimed Spurs would be in a ‘position to pay’ the €20m fee demanded by the Spanish giants for the player.

For now, the option to join Tottenham ‘does not seduce’ Depay, despite their project and the chance to play in the Champions League.

The former Lyon man wants to continue with the Blaugrana, but also wants to play regularly, which is going to be difficult at Barca.

Depay has less than 12 months left on his deal and knows he can move elsewhere as a free agent in 2023, if he stays at the Camp Nou next season.

Xavi Hernández’s side are aware of this and therefore, believe this case ‘must be treated with sensitivity’.
