Pedro Porro’s recent drama at Tottenham Hotspur is getting some attention from the Portuguese media.
Newspaper A Bola today publishes a story highlighting that the fullback has ‘thanked the affection’ he’s been getting in recent days.
The 23-year-old had deactivated his social media accounts following abuse he had from Tottenham fans due to perceived poor performances.
With his return to Instagram and Twitter, A Bola highlights that he received supportive messages from his former Sporting teammates Pedro Gonçalves, Gonçalo Inácio and Jovane Cabral.
The newspaper points out Davinson Sanchez has also been struggling with messages from Tottenham fans, making it clear that Spurs’ defence isn’t getting much support recently.
Pedro Porro left Sporting for the London side for nearly €50m in January, so it’s a bit of a shock for the Portuguese media to see what’s going on with him, as they expected him to quickly succeed in English football.
Now while he suffers with the fans’ reaction, it’s shown he can at least rely on the friendship with his friends from his former club.
